Saturday PM: Spinning for Knitting’s Sake with Judith MacKenzie

Instructor: Judith MacKenzie

Knitting with your own handspun yarn is an amazing experience.  It’s the difference between that piece of toast made with Wonderbread and toast made with your homemade sourdough.  It may take a bit more time, it may be a bit more work but the end result is simply delicious.  Come learn what techniques will help you get the yarn you love as well as the yarn you need to make a garment that will bring you long lasting pleasure.  In this class, we’ll learn how to make a perfect sock yarn that will fit your foot like a beautiful second skin.  We’ll spin a lace yarn that will be gossamer fine and we’ll make a five ply gansey yarn that will be perfect for all those lovely cable patterns you have collected.
